Sprout Home is a cute site that sells these little gadgets and cute knick knacks such as a egg shaped animal that grows grass hair in a kit. They’re really really cute and much more interesting than Chia pets. Go to the children’s section to find cute gifts for a your little nieces or nephews.

If you live in the Chicagoland area, consider ordering their organic produce box.

Starting a garden

I just had another post blown away by WordPress, so this will be shorter than the original and less witty. (keep your snickers and giggles to yourself)

Since my move down to Los Angeles I’ve been tinkering with the idea of a vegetable and herb garden. The summers here are long and the winters mild. I think it’ll last throughout the year.

Please send me your suggestions on what plants you think would work well in this valley.

I am probably going to plant:
Lavender
Passionfruit
Basil
Heirloom tomatoes
Squash
